Ever had some really nice God-sent things come your way and then had some non God-sent things happen because of those nice God-sent things that came your way?
Ever given someone some nice encouraging words and thoughts and prayers and uplifted them out of their stuff and then had some crap come at you after you gave that person upliftment and encouragement?
Ever had some serious peace in your soul while everything was swirling and churning around you but you were just not shaken no matter how hard they (meaning the evil one and his minions) tried to disrupt you and shake you?
Do you know what I mean?
It’s like this bizarre calm in the face of all the mess that’s coming at you . . . yet, for some unknown God reason, you know deep down . . . way deep down in your soul and with every miniscule fiber and cell makeup of your entire being that . . . you’re good. You’re oh, so good. And nothing can shake you out of the surreal calming peace that you’ve been blanketed in. There is no fear under there. There is no anxiety.
Then you look at all that’s laid out in front of you, and you look at it for what it is and who it is. And you see so clearly . . . that all that was allowed to happen to you was really for you. Not against you. That maybe you sorta ignored the still small voice of the Holy Spirit who distinctly told you what to do. But you kinda discussed and argued . . . and then dismissed those God-sent instructions that were given to you. By Him. For your own good. But mostly for His will.
Then you realize and remember that His will is better for you than your will could ever be. So you put on your shield of faith. And you sit back and watch Him turn things around for His will. You know . . . His will that you rebelled against and fought against and argued against. Then you realize that sometimes He moves with the quickness in order to save you or move you or elevate you. Other times He lets you roll around in what you want until He plays His hand and feverishly plucks you out of where you THOUGHT you were supposed to be and puts you where He WANTS you to be.
So you go through this back and forth with Him multiple times, and then you finally learn your lesson after being tired of sitting in your own stuff and your own mistakes and your own discontentment and your own disobedience to Him. And you pass this newfound revelation and secret information onto the next one in order to help them and encourage them and uplift them. And then, what happens? What does the evil one do? That coward tries to pull the rug out from under those God-sent things that were meant for you. Just for you. All because you were obedient and did what He told you to do.
But it’s all good, though. God is good. The peace you have that enables you to fight back and lean into His will is good. Trust me. It’s really really good. And under His blanket is good. So stay under there. What was God-sent for you will always be yours. And what He no longer wanted for you, won’t be. Trust me. I know.
